I'm not sure if I'm the only person with this issue, but my Samsung TV has a random issue where it enables Game Mode when I use my Xbox but it doesn't disable the Game Mode sound option when switching back to another application on the TV. This causes my sound bar to sound like crap, so I wanted to fix this once and for all by disabling game mode. In theory, this might decrease the response time of your TV when playing games on it, but I didn't notice much of a difference in the games that I play.
Anyway, here's how to did it:
1) Switch to the HDMI input where the XBox is located, and wait for it to enable Game Mode. You need to do this first, or the Game Mode options will be greyed out in the future steps.
2) Now, go into Settings. Go to the General Menu, then the External Device Manager menu. Now, go to Game Mode Settings. Change Game Mode to Off.
3) Finally, go back to the Sound Menu, and change the Sound Mode to Standard for (hopefully) the last time.
Problem solved for now!
